On the tables the Horsham A team led by Rory Scott won the local league Premier Division for the second season in succession, a big deal for a club that has trailed in the wake of its big rivals, Crawley Community TTC, for the previous 20 years or so. A number of new, well reputed players have just joined the club so perhaps there will be more than one Horsham team looking to have a say in the destination of silverware next season.

Not only is the country awaiting the news of where the cuts are going to bite but so are all of the sports who attract funding from Sport England and the other various Sporting bodies . We are currently awaiting the decision as to whether certain initiatives will still be fully funded - notably the Change for Life School Clubs.

One ‘good’ piece of news however is that the Coalition Government has decided to put on hold the new Vetting and Barring initiative until further notice. As you know the information in this report usually comes from information from our National Officers and I thought it would be useful to this time include some comments from some ‘people on the ground’ ie. Some comments from the people who are using the outdoor tables in the parks and also a report from a co-ordinator involved in the Premier League for Sport programme. Also included in this report are several references to the Interventions which Development have responsibility for achieving within the Whole Sport Plan.
